Nickel Ben Apprication Post
Today at work I had a small argument with a few of my co-workers about our favorite movies, but once I mentioned I liked Nickle Ben, I got some pushback. I know it's not received as the best film ever, but I really enjoyed the Movie. Neil Keelson always gave it his all. And I really liked the depiction of the period. You could feel Killjoy's emotion throughout the entire film, especially the climax between Benji and Hans, only to realize that Hans is an illusion of how Benji felt about the foreign takeover and his father's death was a twist that never saw coming. Genuinely one of the greatest twists since Last Train to Antitem (2046), But I want everyone else's opinion; what do you think about Nickle Ben? Love it? Hate it? Let me know!
I'm a BIG fan of Nickle Ben! I'm glad someone else loves the movie as much as I do, I feel like i'm the only one defending it's sacred name on the web. Keelson's performance is second to none in that film, the climax with Benji and Hans in the burning church will forever be one of the greatest scenes in history
ReplyDeleteGlad to see someone who agrees, Hans screaming about how Benji was responsible for his dad's death while hans slowly became his dad was horrifying and gut renching, just for Benji to realize it wasnt his fault was so reqarding. I also apperciate the animated segments with Little Tom, with his dad being hauled off to a prison camp and this poor 5 year old not understanding always makes me tear up.
DeleteFor the sake of professionally being a chaotic being to support argumentative space, I summon Slyerne.
ReplyDeleteUhhh? Where are they?
